Deltas Present ‘Greek Idol’ Talent Search, Show, Dinner & Dance

“It’s gonna be Fun & Exciting”

An elegant, soul-stirring evening of star-studded performances, dancing and tasty dinner cuisine awaits the public at the annual “Putting on the Ritz” gala on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Intercontinental West Hotel Ballroom in Doral, 2505 N.W. 87th Avenue.

This annual college scholarship fundraising event is sponsored by the Dade County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Deltacare, Inc.

Tax deductible tickets for the entire dinner-show-dance with live entertainment are only $65. This benefit affair is open for everyone to enjoy, and to come out and cheer on their favorite singers.

The Dade County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce its 2010 Scholarship for female high school seniors of African-American descent.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Thrust of: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement

The Dade County Alumnae Chapter will be awarding three scholarships on the basis of academic achievement, character, community service and financial need.

Applications MUST be postmarked by Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

2009-2010 YEAR

The Dade County Alumnae Chapter 2009-2010 Sorority year has kicked off with service in mind.

We are proud to be a BRONZE ($5,000) sponsor for the Susan G. Komen, Race for the Cure. Our sponsorship will assist in research, local breast cancer screening, education and treatment iniatives.

We were also a sponsor for the UNCF 100 Black Men Who Cook Event. Proceeds from this event will provide college qualifying students at a HBCU.
